Stanley Matthews. (Henley, Reino Unido, 1915 - Stoke-on-Trent, 2000) Futbolista inglés. Inició su carrera deportiva con la zamarra del Stoke City. En 1947 fue traspasado al Blackpool, equipo con el que logró el título de liga seis años más tarde.

Stanley Matthews no solo fue el jugador más longevo que se recuerda en la historia del fútbol, sino que consiguió en su dilatada carrera no ser jamás amonestado.
